Modiphius Entertainment MUH107008 - Fallout Factions: Core Rulebook
SKIRMISH WARGAMING IN THE FALLOUT WASTELANDOne of the core truths of the Wasteland is that everyone wants their cut, and theyll do whatever they have to in order to get it. Most who try end up face-down in a crater somewhere, not a thing to their name-barring the bullet in their back. You want to make it anywhere out there, you need more than just a dream: you need the right people at your back so that they can take the bullets for you. Between the Brotherhood, the Super Mutants, the Raiders, and even those well-meaning few who think their way of living is the only right one, theres plenty of competition for that cut of the world. So, youd better be the best of the best, or else this place will chew you up and spit you right back out again.?
WHATS IN THE CORE RULEBOOK?
This book contains all you need to know to take to the Wasteland, teaching you the rules of play, the in-depth Campaign system, and showcasing the iconic Factions of Fallout, helping you decide which flag to carry to battle. Combined with the Fallout: Factions Battle for Nuka-World? Starter Set, or the Fallout: Factions - Tokens and Terrain Pack 1, youll have everything you need to pick a Faction and start your journey to become the de-facto ruler of the Wasteland - as long as you dont mind crushing a competitor or two along the way.
The 112-page full-colour hardcover Fallout: Factions Core Rulebook features:
Welcome to the Wasteland: An introduction to wargaming, and all youll need to play Fallout: Factions.
Playing a Game: The core rules you need to play the fast-playing, high-risk, high-reward tabletop skirmish wargame.
Preparing to Play: How to set up a game, with an overview of the in-depth scenario system that keeps each game interesting.
The Story Phase: Details for growing your crew and ascending to legend - or what to do if you end up a footnote in another crews story.
Appendices: Faction Lists (Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants, Survivors, Raiders), Weapons, Perks, Legends of the Wasteland and more - everything you need to bring your own touch to your crew!
WHAT IS FALLOUT: FACTIONS?
Fallout: Factions is a skirmish-level wargame for two players, where you take control of Wastelanders vying for power in an irradiated hellscape, full to bursting with monsters, mercenaries, and murderous miscreants - all doing exactly the same. Over the course of several games, crews will rise and fall, each moving through their own stories thanks to an intricate Campaign system.
On the tabletop, players control a unique group of miniatures, representing a core Faction from the Fallout universe, and bring them to battle the crews of other players in a fast-paced, dice-hurling, action-packed skirmish wargame - where every action can have long-lasting consequences.
Grow your unique Leaders and Champions into veritable Legends of the Wasteland, or hire on renowned and recognisable characters to tame the battlefield, use every dirty trick you can to make sure that, when the sun sets on the rad-blasted landscape, its setting with you standing tall.
Played over a 2x3 ft. battlefield, Factions promises quick and engaging gameplay, where no two fights ever turn out the same way. With a host of free online content to supplement and expand your games, the possibilities - and perils - are endless.
